Sinds zijn overstap van Blue Note, waar hij vanaf 1990 zijn albums uitbracht en een gevierd saxofonist werd, naar ECM in 2019 lijkt Joe Lovano aan een fascinerende  tweede muzikale leven begonnen. Met zijn trio Tapestry brengt hij nu, na ECM samenwerkingsalbums met het Enrico Rava (Roma, uit 2019), Marcin Wasilewski Trio (Arctic Riff, uit 2020) en Jakob Bro (Once Around The Room, uit 2022) alweer een derde album uit. Our Daily Bread brengt tenorsaxofonist Lovano dus wederom samen met zijn Tapestry trio (naar hun eerste album uit 2019 onder die titel), met Carmen Castaldi op drums en Marilyn Crispell op piano.
